Accessing Tailwind CSS directly from JavaScript isn't a conventional practice because Tailwind is primarily a utility-first CSS framework designed to style HTML elements directly through class attributes.
However, you can still leverage JavaScript to manipulate elements styled with Tailwind classes.
You can access elements styled with Tailwind classes using traditional JavaScript DOM methods like document.getElementById(), document.querySelector(), or document.querySelectorAll().
<button id="myButton" class="bg-blue-500 text-white font-bold py-2 px-4 rounded">
Click me
</button>
const button = document.getElementById('myButton');
Once you've accessed an element, you can manipulate its styles directly using the style property or by adding/removing CSS classes. While you can't directly access Tailwind utility classes, you can apply similar styles using JavaScript.
// Change background color
button.style.backgroundColor = '#ff2322';
// Add a new class
button.classList.add('hover:bg-blue-700');
// Remove a class
button.classList.remove('bg-blue-500');
